James + Lauren's Engagement Session | Dallas. TX

You know when you spend so much time dreaming and creating a vision and it comes to fruition? This engagement session is an embodiment of that. Pulling from some of their favorite spooky, horror, and moody influences, James and Lauren curated their outfits and the spots for their engagement session. We couldn’t be happier to be part of it! Part of the influence also came from the the location of their wedding happening in October. None other than the historical, New Orleans.

A little secret, James is actually my cousin and our moms were born and partially raised in New Orleans. Most of our extended family still resides in NOLA. I think it is a huge part of our family and our childhood since we would spend part of our summer vacation down in NOLA. Side note: I would not recommend going in July unless you want to sweat your body weight out on the daily. It also has a rich history of ghost stories and tales, good food, and family.

All of the themes and vibes for their engagement session will definitely come back into play in their wedding and I can not wait to see what they have created to tie in New Orleans itself, but also their amazing and creative personalities.
